Cybersecurity Minor
The Cybersecurity minor is offered through the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Computer Sciences and Information Technology. The minor takes students beyond the fundamentals of computing and operating systems to provide a dynamic study of digital attack prevention. Degree Requirements
The Cybersecurity Minor Requirement is a minimum of 20 credit hours as follows:
CS/IT 101 | Introduction to Computing | 4 cr. |
CS/IT 102 - CS 171 - CS/IT 111 | Introduction to Programming or Programming for Mathematics or Accelerated Python | 4 cr. - 4 cr. - 1 cr. |
IT 230 - CYBR 205 | Intro to Operating Sys & Script Dev or Scripting Languages | 3 cr. - 3 cr. |
IT 250/BAIM 413 | Data Communication & Networks | 3 cr. |
IT 330 - CYBR 230 | Fundamentals of Cybersecurity or Cybersecurity Concepts | 3 cr. - 3 cr. |
IT 430 - CYBR 330 | Ethical Hacking or Ethical Hacking | 3 cr. - 3 cr. |
IT 435 - CYBR 435 | Cybersecurity Operations or Cybersecurity Operations | 3 cr. - 3 cr. |

CS/IT 111 has an additional prerequisite of ENGR 105 or instructor permission.
